Meet The Team

The Disability Voices site administrators are:

Sarah: I’m 28. I am a  blogger, poet and journalist with Cerebral Palsy. I’m a Trustee for The Nihal Armstrong Trust, a small charity which provides grants to children with Cerebral Palsy in the UK. I used to copy edit and write for a small magazine called Society Today. I have recently put together an e-book of original poetry about life with a physical disability called Listen To The Silence, which can be downloaded, for a low price, exclusively from my blog, Same Difference. I tweet at @samedifference1. I like good blogs, good books, good magazines and Australian soap operas.

Kali: I’m 34 and I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I’m also a blogger – using the pseudonym Bendy Girl to write the ironically titled Benefit Scrounging Scum. I have a degree in law (LLB/Hons).

I’m a part time wheelchair user and a wannabe mobility scooter user… if I can ever find a builder to do the adaptations I need to keep a scooter at my home!

You can follow me on twitter as @BendyGirl

The Hermit is a 40 year old man juggling the varied demands of being a father, son, uncle, brother, friend and disabled. Before becoming disabled in 2003, he was an I.T. geek who had managed to leave the world of employment and set up two successful businesses with employees, offices and even a water fountain. In the past he has also turned his hand to writing fiction and blogs, and was lucky enough to have some of his work published, but his disability and the medications required to treat it means that writing has had to take a back seat. He lives in Shakespeare’s county and shares his Hovel with his daughter, disabled son and two rescued cats.
